Our Story
A1Base was founded in 2025 by two developers determined to bring powerful AI Agents to everyday people. Early on, we experimented with ways for people to talk with their homes and cars and make them your personal AI employeee (yes, we actually tried that!). We quickly realized that for anyone—regardless of their technical background—to feel comfortable working with AI, it had to be both accessible and trustworthy.
As we continued to build, we recognized the need for a user-friendly API, a strong layer of trust and regulatory standards, and a human-first approach to AI development. That's why we created A1Base.
Our Mission
We believe that in the near future, AI Agents and human coworkers will enable us to pursue more creative and impactful work. Our mission is to help developers build AI Agents that people can partner with and rely on as trusted allies—always with a human-first mindset.
Founders
Pasha Rayan
A1Base Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer
Pasha was the previous CTO and co-founder of Forage, a venture backed education company (YC, Lightspeed, Blackbird) that helped over 5 million students learn about over 100 tier-1 enterprises.
Pennie Li
A1Base Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer
Pennie was an early engineer at Forage, who worked across engineering, product and growth over a 6 year career there, and worked as the CTO of Truffle, a consumer food tracking app. She studied computer science and commerce at UNSW.
